Skin Care By Jacquie was established in 2010. We are now Skin For You, a Beauty Boutique. At the start of my career in 2010 it was always my envision to one day open my very own day spa! And here I am now making this envision come to life!
My caring and calming demeanor has made me a celebrated Esthetician among my clients. I have established a reputation for bestowing excellence and service on all of my clients. Since becoming an Esthetician in 2010, I have continued my education focusing on keeping up with the latest innovations in the industry. I am quite passionate about what I do! It brings me joy when my clients feel and look amazing by achieving healthy skin with me! It's a even greater joy when a first time client reschedules and becomes a regular client of mine. That means I've succeeded and have done my job! Esthetics has always been an interest of mine. It is my passion and I am so grateful that I am able to make it a part of my career. I started to see an Esthetician at the age of 13. As a teen and in my early 20's I struggled with problem skin including severe acne, acne scarring, unwanted facial hair, unwanted hair on my arms, and legs. Therefore I can relate to my clients on many different levels. And this is why I know I can truly assist my clients achieve exactly what they are looking for. I enjoy being surrounded by my two children. I enjoy every free moment possible with them. Prior to Covid I actively participated in school activities and volunteered at my children’s school and I hope to return soon. In addition to practicing Esthetics I also work at my family’s real estate company here in Watsonville. I would like to thank all of my clients for the repetitive business, the referrals and for trusting me with something you will wear for the rest of your life, your skin. Maria Zarate
Massage Therapist

Hello my name is Maria Zarate, I am the founder of Sacred Space Massage Therapy. I am excited to be joining the wonderful team at Skin For You where you will get to enjoy from a variety of holistic massage therapy modalities in a spa setting.
Aside from having started my own mobile massage business this past year 2024, which I am very proud of, I am also a very proud mom to a teenage boy. He is my drive and for whom I strive to be my best in what I do.
I am currently working as a Surgical Technician at a Trauma Hospital in the Monterey county. I have acquired an extensive experience in the medical field in the last 20 years. I began working as a CNA (certified nurse assistant) where I served geriatric patients in the skilled nursing and the assisted living facility. I later transitioned into the acute hospital setting where I worked in different departments. All of which further led me into aspiring to work in the OR (operating room) as a surgical tech. And as of most recent, a volunteer in a local non-profit organization in our Watsonville Community serving the farm workers and the elderly.
I feel a strong inner drive to care for others, and during these past years I have been able to exercise that passion of mine. I have witnessed others’ trauma and healing in every stage of life. And although it may sound like two different worlds, compared to that of the hospital setting, I see massage therapy as an extension of the healing process.
I am looking forward to serving my community here in my hometown of Watsonville & extending my services to surrounding areas as I continue my traveling (in-home) massage services with the understanding that some of my clients benefit from this unique service.
I thank you all in advance for allowing me to serve you and assist you in your healing journey or provide you with the best ‘self-care’ experience through my holistic massage therapy services.
